Immerse yourself in the world of Appenzeller beer and experience where brewing tradition meets craftsmanship and passion. Our visitor centre features a diverse shop with products from the Locher Brewery and selected fan merchandise.
Explore the history of brewing, enjoy individual or guided tastings (on request) and learn more about our Säntis Malt Whisky. Our team is happy to share its knowledge and looks forward to your visit.
At Brauquöll, you can experience the brewhouse and production up close. From the visitor platform, you can see directly onto our bottling line, where Appenzeller beers are carefully bottled.
Our team will be happy to answer any questions you may have about brewing and Appenzeller beer. The tour is free of charge and available during regular opening hours without prior registration.

We organise tastings for groups of up to 25 people. This size allows for personal attention and a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere.
If, after the tasting, you feel like visiting a cosy restaurant serving Appenzell specialities, you will find numerous recommended establishments in the immediate vicinity.
Would you like to visit us with a larger group?
Larger groups are also very welcome. It is possible to split the group: one part takes part in a tasting in the visitor centre of the new Brauwelt, while the other part undertakes a complementary activity.

We offer beer tastings every Thursday at 10:15 a.m. throughout the year. (Exception: tastings are not held on public holidays)
From 1 April to 28 October, there is also a tasting every Wednesday evening at 5:00 p.m.
Advance registration is not required. The price is CHF 14.00 per person.
